I've been making a few stick tang knives lately, in case I ever decide to work toward ABS certification. This knife is stock removal 3/16 1080 carbon steel with a 400 grit satin finish. The guard is brass, with a good press fit. The handle is mesquite from Brandon's grandma's ranch, at his request. Filework is double cut wave. OAL is 8.5 with a blade of 3.75 inches.

Jason, that's a great looking knife!

I like the Mesquite, years ago I had a "Texas Recurve" made by the Byrds in Texas made with Osage & Mesquite and it was beautiful! Wish I hadn't sold it!
Since then I have liked Mesquite wood.
