I'm posting this only to give all of the makers planning on attending a bit of a heads-up. This year the show (Sept. 28/29) will be sponcoring the new awards of "Best Fighter" & "Best Sword" in addition to the existing categories (hunter, Bowie, folder, & damascus). I was asked to add the category of "Best Sword" while at The Arkansas Show & agreed on the stipulation that at least three makers would have swords to be judged which has been met. Any style of sword will be accepted as long as it has a minimum of a 28" blade.
Also the judging of "Best of Show" will be from the winners of the other categories making all submitted knives eligible.
