Does anyone know where/if I can buy a 119 with a brass guard/pommel and cocobolo handle? They're discontinued everywhere I've looked. There's a used one on ebay for $149, but I know I can get a new custom built brass and cherrywood from Buck for $135.
Welcome to the forum !
I suggest custom with ironwood, as I did:

That's how it came ... note that I changed blade steel and removed the fuller. Thanks! That wood looks better than what's shown on the Buck customize page. Did Buck put that engraving on the blade, or did you have it customized somewhere else?
Need one for an Xmas gift?
The Xmas deadline has passed at Buck for a custom but, if you need one for an Xmas gift, I would just order one to be shipped to the recipient and include the order form (sans price) along w/a full color pic of the knife as ordered w/a Xmas card.
I'm sure the receipient would be happy to wait for delivery post-Xmas. I know I would.![]()

This is the other side in a different light.
Have you held one? I don’t like the weight of the brass hardware. Keep in mind the wood handle weighs more than the phenolic too.
Also the brass they use at least the ones Ive seen patina badly.
Do yourself a solid go to Bucks web page configure your perfect 119 and buy it. You won’t regret it. View attachment 1703627
Both my sons bought the 120 110 sets.
In storage with no use the pommels got a strange patina. The guard and the 110 were fine.
Yes it does. Note that I store mine in a Kydex sheath - no polish needed.Doesn't that patina on the 120 pommel polish out?
FYI, Brass and cherrywood was offered by a retailer for a long time. Pretty sure it was BassPro. There should be some of those around on the secondary market.I know I can get a new custom built brass and cherrywood from Buck for $135.
It will polish out. But my point is it’s different than the 110’s Maybe they aren’t all the same. IDK
I knew it was an availability question that’s why I didn’t respond right away. I really just wanted to encourage you to order a custom.
Awesome!Ebay to the rescue. 2014 in unused condition. Paid close to what Walmart was charging a year or two ago when they were still selling them. Now onto the next knife in my collection. Maybe a Vanguard.
What is the name of the one 6th from the right?FYI, Brass and cherrywood was offered by a retailer for a long time. Pretty sure it was BassPro. There should be some of those around on the secondary market.View attachment 1703664
When I was putting this set together brass and cherrywood were readily available. I paid extra in most cases for the aluminum.
118...if I counted right.....What is the name of the one 6th from the right?
Sorry, I think the one directly to the right of that one is the one i meant. Upswept with no swedge from what i can see in the picture.118...if I counted right.....
