Brass back Bowie made by Dennis Riley JR smith

I'll start off. I like them-all of them-but the Musso stands out; not only due to the spectacular design, but the pure workmanship. Outstanding! Just one complaint-why would a man who put so much work into such an outstanding knife choose to use micarta? That's incomprehensable to me. A good piece of ironwood would do so much more for that knife. Just my 2 cents worth.

I like the stag bowie but not the other one. I've always found this shape unbalanced and less than graceful. The f&f looks impeccable though.

Well, micarta is a darn good handle, no question. I guess I just go more for the high end look. Please post a pix when you get your knife. I like ebony a lot, the knife will be stunning!

On a personal note I got to meet Dennis at PKA in 2003. One of the friendliest men I've ever met, and eager to share info about his knifemaking.
