Hello there, First post. I have a collection of Uncle Henry Lock Blades that I put together for a grandson. All are NIB but the LB8 has a little pitting on two of the brass bolsters. Is this something that can be polished out or should I just leave them alone? It seems that the brass is a plating over a copper base?? Not sure about that.

Thanks - Jim

You could try Brasso and a soft cloth but I've only ever used it for tarnished surfaces. Since it's not solid brass it may mess with the plating as brasso is abrasive but I'm not sure.

Maybe someone with a bit more experience can chime in.
