Brass Fixed Blades

Brass is great for fixed blades.

Because they are normally stamped on the right side. DM

I think Buck made two Golden Series. One with standard stamps and one with custom stamps on the left. I found both variations of 102 and 103 but coldn't find the 119 with the custom stamp on the left. But I'm watching for one.

A day never goes by here where I don't learn something.
Mostly that I don't no didly about Buck Knives.

The first issue of the Golden Series had the Custom stamp on the left and came with Flap sheaths. There was a second issue the following year. Still mirror polished but with the standard tang stamp on the right and a standard sheath. Both issues had the same catalog & model number. Still shopping for the 119 myself, I've seen them occasionally but not for a tempting price. /Roger

Thank you, Roger, for the additional information.
But in sake of completeness: Buck made a third variation too.
Some knives have red spacers, the most are black (dark brown?)

Sorry for the bad picture. I'll take another one soon.
