Guy I'm talking to on another site is getting a replica sword from an anime made (I'm a big anime fan) and me being the helpful snot I am is sending little bits of knife/sword smarts his way.

Now here's where you all come in:the cross gaurd is brass,it has blue in grooves for decoration;now how would he get the blue there? (and we're not talking "gun" blue;we're talking "blue" blue) he says enamel (which I think is best) or some kind of adonizing (which I'm almost 100% sure can't be done on brass)

Also I'd think a titanium coating might work:downside is cost $$!

If any wish to see this thing ask and I'll post a pic.

Some of the very highest quality chip-resistent paints are located in the.....

finger-nail polish section! Don't know about the blue color you seek, but few paint manufacturer's spend the $ on making sure the product stays intact. With some of the bizarre looks kids favor today, you might be lucky.

I use some bright red, orange, or sparkle on front sights on shotguns and old rifles.

Nice small container with its own brush.

Good luck.

Honest! No, really, that's why I have them! Really!

Kis is dead on...been using nail polish for years for sights, decorative rings on flashlights, all sorts of things.
