I'm considering getting a Bravo 1. I know there are aftermarket sheaths and even customs for it but is the kydex one it comes with useful for belt carry at all? If so , does the knife ride high or get uncomfortable to carry? How's the retention?
I'd like to know as I may order soon. Thanks:)

Its fine for attatching to gear, but I wouldn't rate it for belt carry though. I am not a big fan of kydex though, so it may work if your are used to that style. The knife is an absolute winner though.

The belt loop looks very limiting Imo. I'm wondering if a molle back or such could be fastened to it.

it rides a bit to high for carring verticly but it isnt to bad if you have it on your belt horizontal somewhere

The Bravo kydex definitely works better with a tek lok. Retention is good although the way the sheath works takes a little getting used too. It will ride a bit high. I'm not a fan of high riding sheaths so I use it horizontally. The knife is outstanding and there are lots of folks who can whip you up a great aftermarket sheath so don't let the factory one dissuade you.

Good to know a tek-lok works. I have a couple of the small ones left I could try.
Thanks for the tip.

I wear it horizontally with a large tek-loc. It does ride high in the vertical position.

I use mine with a large tec-lock it rides high but I love that about it. It lets me edc it unnoticed under most circumstances.

I have a Tel Lok on mine too and its attached to a butt back or day pack. I also have the Bravo-1 leather sheath for use on my belt, but the kydex is fine.

i took the lok off mine and just drop it in a pocket...either front pocket of jeans, or the leg pocket of carharts. It rode too high for me with the lok, but is actually a pretty good EDC in a pocket, only about an inch of the handle sticks out the top :D
