i just recently purchased this blade and have heard great things about it.....do you guys have pics with this thing in use or is there some sort of reviews or testing done that i can read up on.....thank you

You've got one. Tell us that don't what you think. I've never heard anything bad about BRKT, the bravo-1 included. Personal experience trumps second hand reviews any day. So, take it out and use it. Then, post the pics and a review.

I am giving one away for Christmas this year, haven't used it. But just from handling it, I know it is my next purchase for myself. Simply put, its a beast. Heavy, solid, and sharp. Don't know what there is bad to say about it, except some might consider it too heavy. I don't.

I've had a Bravo-1 since about late April or Early May I suppose. I love this knife! I have no problems getting a razor sharp edge on it using 800, 1000, and 2000 grit wet/dry followed by stropping. I made a leather sheath for it but have recently given it its Kydex sheath back. It rests strapped to one of my bug out bags.

I've used it to cut food and whittle mesquite and pine. I batoned a couple of medium branches with it about a month ago. I also used it to trim a pyracantha (firethorn) bush in the backyard. So......no extensive testing (which I don'd do anyway) or severe hard use. It's cut alot of things I haven;t mentioned, but nothing that would really "test" it.

Ergonomically, the handle fits my hand well. I like the heft of the >3/16" blade. The fit/finish is typical Bark River....very good. As I said earlier, it sharpens easily and holds its edge well, as far as I can tell. Overall, I like it as well as any other Bark River I own. That says alot, because each one is a superb knife.

if you do a search for the bravo1 there is a thread entiled 'took a walk with the bravo 1 today'

that has a good review and lots of pictures

I have two on the way (one surface mail so 50/50 on turning up). My mate got his yesterday and brought it in to show me. First impressions is this is a great little/big knife fit and finish was perfect, the handle was very comfortable and the edge was razor sharp. I can't wait for my two to show up.

You get a lot in a small package with this knife.

I have one and I really like it. I'm a city boy so my fixed blades are safe queens. IMO a lotta knife for the money.:thumbup:

Love it, got mine a couple of weeks ago.
Amazing fit and finish.
The edge is phenomenal as well.

Just bought the leather sheath for it.

Great balance, great size...a GREAT knife for the money.

I know I have sold a gajillion of them. I haven't taken one out to beat up, but it feels at home in my hand. I hear GREAT things about them in the field.

Perksy, I currently have 2 or maybe three people from your neck of the woods waiting on knives. For some reason, they are running very slowly. So, you are not the lone ranger!!

The B-1 is a fine blade.
Splits well...batons well...& cuts well.

Got this one from Derrick & couldn't be happier with either the knife or the service!

Absolutely love the blade, hated the kydex sheath. I instantly purchased the leather sheath.

I did a review on my blog.

Just ordered one from Daves Knife World, got the one with the Amboybia Burl Wood handle. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

Did the same, for the same reason.

And the leather sheath, it turns out, is pretty good.
MUCH better than the kydex sheath included with the knife.
