Ok So all these little gems seem to be a go to blades for many of us. Because of their size they get utilized more than any other size category I can think of. So it is a critical one to get right. They are similar in size but different in grind and feel. I left off the becker necker (BK11) and the Izula...but they might fit in here as well. They are also all fixed. Oh and forgive me if I missed one that fits here...please add it. So to my curiosity, when I asked the question on the ESEE discussion what is your favorite ESEE the HEST seems to top the list. I looked at what else might fit here against the HEST. So what do you guys think...and am I missing a comparison here? I am building my collection and want to fit this category well. However it seems a few, even though the size is similar might not fit the comparison well. For example I believe the HEST is more of a EDC and the RC3 a bushcraft. But lets take this one step further I believe either would work well in either task. Let me know your take. Oh and sorry for some many post...this knife thing is addicting!!! I love it!

Bravo Necker = perfect knife.
RC3= nice but very slippery scales, don't like the micarta.
Hest = nice but I hate the prybar on it, I would grind it off.

IMO the RC3 can be either EC or bushcraft, as you see many people on various forums using it for bushcraft, but I think the esee 4 is the winner for bushcraft.

I've also heard that alot of peole prefer the HEST for EDC, and prefer to take their ESEE 3/4 or longer out into the bush.

about the bravo necker, they also make a bravo necker 2, although you probably already know this, and I've read on another forum, that many people loved the bravo necker, but just wished it had a bit more blade length, and thats what they got in the necker 2, it has 3.5 inch blade instead of the 2.5 inch blade on the original necker.
And just for a comparison
Izula has a 2.88" blade,
hest has 3 1/8" blade
ESEE 3 - 3 3/8" cutting edge
so I guess it depends on which blade length you like the best. ESEE and necker 2 have very similar blade length.

Personally I'm ordering a necker 2 soon, and the fact that there are many different handle scales available is a plus aswell.
