I like to have a serrated blade knife with me in my boat in case rope needs to be cut quickly. Yet my knives sometimes dont make it home when my grandkids take the boat out fishing. My solution has been to cut down a used serrated blade bread knife and make a sheath for it. . They work great, cut fast, are cheap enough not to worry if they dont make it home.

Geat idea.
I got interested in boat knives at one point. I ran across an article which said that rounded serrations worked better than jagged serrations. Do you have an opinion on that?

Great idea.

I totally agree with the comment above; the rounded serrations used by Victorinox seem to cut better than any other pattern I’ve found.
