Me too. I'd have to open it.I hate clam-packs, so I'd open it.
I've got a Schrade Collectable that has never been opened. I'm tempted to open the package so I can handle the knife
My question is; Do you think I should open the plastic package. Would you if it were yours?

Ken, Thanks for the info along with your thoughts. I imagine it was probably packaged between 2000 & 2004. If I decide to not open it, I may just sell it on.Hi Bruce, that knife is a late copy of an old knife made in the 1970's.
I think in this case I would keep it in the clam-pack - That knife has stainless blades, not like the older "Walden N.Y. 881".
The pack, Identifies your knife as a late modle Schrade with stainless blades ... Ken
Thanks for the input so far guys. Keep those thoughts coming.

Thanks again Ken.Bruce, I have seen those knives for-sale from time to time. Don't think they sell too well.
However I would say, they would make a good every-day user knife.
I've had the same old Walden 881 since 1973 as my evey-day-user knife. That was my first Schrade knife.
Please, don't ask the number on Schrade knives I have now... I was hooked many years ago ... Ken
