I found these at Michaels hobby store in Denver, CO while my wife was shopping.
They had an area there with paracord bracelets and supplies.
These are breakaway buckles I had never seen them before. I've used a cord lock because if you're like me you don't like the idea of a solid length of paracord around your neck. The cord lock will give if pulled hard enough.
This is my first post with pictures so I hope it comes out.
Package of Breakaways was about $2.49.

The cord lock is ugly with paracord sticking up from your neck, but it worked.

I've put them on my Izula and BK14 neck knives.

Keep an eye on those. I've used a similar setup before, and the "locks" let go unbeknownst to me at a rather unopportune time. Seems the tension lessens the more the "locks" are pulled apart and put back together. YMMV.

They are good little buckles but like Erik said, be careful that it doesnt give when you dont want it to. The necker might be a little too heavy for them. I used some on some necklaces that I made for my two sons (6 and 4) I didnt feel comfortable with a rope around their neck that wouldnt break free.

I get those from Paracord Paul's; they work fine so long as you're not hanging a Junglas off your neck.

Can you rapidly deploy your knife without the connector coming loose? My Benchmade Snody Instigator came with a clear plastic tube that the shoestring like ends on the necklace feed in to, and is adjustable for tightness. It allows me to pull the knife quickly without coming apart but also gives way when too much force is used.

I do like C-Bear said.. a little beaded chain inside the paracord housing is excellent, I have that setup for a candiru.

So far so good with mine. I don't disconnect the buckle I just lift the cord over my head so I don't over work the buckle. I've never could get used to beaded chains. I hadn't thought of the super glue, I might have to try that.
