Mistwalker inspired me yesterday, and I have a Friday off, so I did a little breakfast of my own.

Razor's edge Fiddleback (that O1 sure sharpens up nice,) fresh oranges on the tree, leftover Easter ham, and jam made fresh a week ago with berries from the farmer's market.
My wife left me only 1 egg, so I had to make up for it with extra filling.

Thanks, Mist, for the inspiration.
Thanks, Andy, for the awesome blade.
Thanks, God, for the fresh produce.
Life is good.

DAMN that looks good, really like the fresh squeezed orange juice!

Nice spread sir -- I'm also digging the KEB; I just received a 1/8"TT of my own and am quite enamored with it! What type of wood is that on the scales?

WOW, I love that I inspired such an awesome activity and post!! That looks fantastic man! The KE Bushie is just a great knife all around, I love how Andy brought that design to life. I've had two of them. The move and the winter cost me my last one, but I plan to get another when I can. Really love the last words in your post man.

The KEB is an awesome knife. The 1/8 makes an amazing slicer, but me being me, I am hoping for a tapered 5/32 with a high but not full grind next time around :)

Thanks guys.

wjt - the scales are Maple. I'd call it fiddleback pattern, but I think Andy didn't want to take credit for the wood, so he called it flamey. They were dyed a golden sunset hue. I haven't seen it before or since. If they'd do a thin (1/8 or 3/32) HB in 'em I'd be all over that.

Andy says 1/8 makes a better slicer, but I don't see it could get much better than this 5/32 blade.
Love the tapered tang - balance is just beautiful in the hand.

Great breakfast and beautiful knife. I can't wait to try out a KE Bushie.
