Hi
I was wondering if there is a certain breaking in period for certain folding knives to become much looser and smoother to open, I just got a buck strider folding knife but the action to me seems a little bit to stiff for my taste. I considered maybe mailing it to the company but do not know if i want to wait 4-6 weeks to get it back since i might go on a camping trip this month.
I don't know if i want to play with the screws since it might void the warranty

hi, my buck strider was very stiff when i got it, and the liner would stick also, carried it a week or 2 and it is fine, just put some good oil on the pivot, only a drop/2 (rem-oil is good, millitec is what i am using now, its good also) and just carry the thing and use it a while, it'll be fine i imagine.

good luck

greg

The only screw that will make a difference is the pivot screw. Just back it off a hair and you'll be fine. You can always tighten it a hair if it becomes too loose. In this case I wouldn't worry about warranties.....
