Breaking in my first Busse

Well after 12 months of delaying the inevitable, my first piece of INFI is winging its way to me. By Monday afternoon I should have a BATAC SE in my hands. After all I've read about INFI and its amazing properties I know that I'm going to have to give this one a good workout so that I can see for myself what it is that you guys keep raving about.

So the question is - What do you reckon I should do to really give this Badger a good workout?

I can guarantee that there will be some deforestation occurring, but what else??

I have a BATAC LE (same thickness & weight as the SE) and it is a great chopper, not as good as my chopweiler, mind you, but still an amazing amount of knife packed into a 5" blade. The TAC hande really lets you get a good grip at the base so you can have more chopping leverage. Although I don't think the BATAC CG would make as good a chopper because it's so much lighter. My BATAC LE is my best all-around knife.

I just got my BATAC in the mail. I have no idea if its an LE, SE, or CG, all I know it has a number on the blade, satin finished, with tider hide micarta handles, and is thick as hell. It is much thicker than my .250 mini mojo. I have yet to abuse it yet, but I will.

They look like this... and are .270" thick.

Congrats.... the BATAC LEs are the sweetest of the bunch IMHO. :thumbup:

yeah I love it, this thing is a tank. I have a swamp rat mini mojo, a game warden and now this batac LE. Now all I need is a battle mistress.

I don't own an LE, just the regular version...but I say to you, young piglet...BEAT THE HECK OUTTA HER!! These are very fine knives and will withstand any use you care to give them!! :thumbup:

Hmmm, after this post, i am seriously thinking of nailing the BCS for the LE Mistress and Batac...please help me sleep without dreams of Busse...damn you all....
