Breeden Knives Overhaul-Sheaths & Knives

I contacted Bryan a few weeks ago about sending my KAT and two CUB knives back for some work. I have used them to death and was looking for a lighter way to carry them and a minor change to the KAT knife specifically.

Originally, I had leather sheaths (from Bryan) and liked them mainly because the knives have convex edges. The leather sheath is a good way to give them a quick strop when I am out and about. I don’t really care much for belt sheaths and usually opt for an over the shoulder or neck carry sheath, especially since I was going to kit out one or more of the sheaths. Also, the KAT knife had a nice round comfortable handle that was a joy to use, but I wanted a slimmer way of carrying it around in conjunction with a kit. I asked Bryan to reduce the green micarta scales so I can carry as a neck knife, but with more comfort than a cord wrapped knife. While they were in his custody I asked if he could put back that Breeden edge too. This is what I got today.

First, the original knives with their respective sheaths.

New and improved!

Three super slim kydex sheaths meant to be carried handle up to avoid loosing a knife if I attach a lanyard and it gets caught and dragged out of the sheath.

Sharpened edges

Even the cord wrapped knife has a kydex sheath that fits it well.

KAT scales thinned out for ultra compact carry and comfort.

Hi all,

Reuben, glad to here you like what did. I really like the way the sheaths turned out too. Even if you have to take the cord off the one handle, It would still keep the knife in the sheath better than a handle down carry.

Chat with you later,

Bryan

They came out great !

I had an idea about sheaths the other day...it was during a 12 hr night shift though and they do strange things to my brain. I'll post up a thread soon with my idea to see if it's dumb !!!

Looks great buddy, I plan on doing something similar with the bare bones necker Bryan is going to make me.

Here is a knife and kydex sheath that Breeden guy made for me, with the survival items that I put on my kydex sheath. I have mine wrapped up with inntube like Picts. set up. The knife is just a tad smaller than a RAT 3 knife.
