Title says it all.

I can afford one more Spyderco here in the first half of the year.

What do ya'all recommend and why? Steel, ergos, designer, are either sprints?

I appreciate your time and input

Do you have a Caly 3.5? Of the 2 you mentioned, I would definitely go with the Large Lum. I don't have either, but of new releases, I'm most interested in (in order from most to least) Sage 3 (on it's way to me), Para 2 (on backorder), the Superleaf, CF Lum and Large lum (I'm probably forgetting one). But if you haven't gotten it, the Caly 3.5 is a masterpiece IMO..it carries like a 3 inch folder, but has a 3.5 inch blade and large forward finger choil. It is, IMO, quite possibly Spyderco's best release of 2010.

Good luck..I don't know how I'd manage if I had to limit myself to one knife per 6 months. But of the newer releases, I recommend Caly 3.5, Sage 3 and Para 2. Although I have no idea which ones you have, so there might be another "must have" that I would recommend from a past year

I do have the Caly 3.5...love it.

It alternates with my Orange Manix 2 for EDC.

I also picked up the CF Lum, Pretty knife.

I have a Para, and the size never quite worked for me...maybe different with the Para2?

and a Sage 3 would be nice. I have a 1 and 2 but the Breeden and the Large Lum really caught my eye.

They're both great, but if you have to choose, get the Lum. The larger size, G-10 and reversible clip make it the one I've been waiting for ever since I first saw the design.

I never trust spyderco's backlock after seeing how terrible it was on my endura... Anyway yea, go with the large lum. It's very light for the size

Just got the large Lum in the mail today. It's sweet! Light and much easier to hold onto compared to the CF Lum. Hope they make a regular Lum with the same scales in the future. Haven't handled the Breeden but it looks like a beast.

Went with the Breeden Rescue. Love it, love the blade shape, love the handle ergos. Can finally retire my D'Allara Rescue in the EDC Rota.

Maybe if a tax return is forthcoming I can pick up a Large Lum after June if they are still available.
