Just wanted to say I just got my first knife from one of thr forum makers today. I saw one of Bryan Breeden's Warthorn knives here in the WSS section. I contacted Bryan and ended up with what I consider a great user knife!
Here are the specs:
8 inch blade of 01 tool steel, Razor sharp
1/4 inch thick
Green canvas micarta handle
14 inches overall
I look forward to taking this out and using soon. If you are thinking about a custom get a hold of Bryan, the quality is awesome! And the price can't be beat for a 1/4 inch knife!!!!
Maybe he can post some pics of my knife cuz I couldn't get them to load.

Talk about tease us.....figure out the pics man !!!!:p

Yeah, he's a cool guy. I've been working with him on getting me a knife made, all I need now is some more scrilla and we'll be in business. It'd be cool to see pics of it.

Bryan is agreat guy to work with! I have always been a knife/ survivalist nut. I joined the forums in August and after reading reviews of knifemakers on here I decided I wanted to do my part to help support them. I sold off a few production and semi customs for some play fund. I have this one and have a modified Woodsman on order with Nick from NWA knives.
For a pic this is the one Bryan posted in Coaldiggers thread about looking for a new knife. The one that was designed for the British army survival instructor. I am computer illiterate I keep trying to get a pic up but cant.Maybe Bryan would be able to post one. I am very impressed with his workmanship!

If you have a paying account than you just caopy the BB code in under the picture in your album. If It's not in your album then go to upload pictures and search for the pic of the warthorn, then follow the instructions.

Or some other members here here use flkr or other picture sites and do something, I'm not sure but you can ask around.

Hi all,

Glad to hear you like the knife Mike. Here are some pics I took of it after I got it made up.

As Mike said that when I posted the pic of the blank I had started for a British Army member a few days after I posted that pic in coaldigger thread.
I get a E-mail from him saying that he got hurt and will not be able to get the knife right away like he wanted. So I says to my self that is ok I will just make the sheath up and then hold it. Well the very next day here comes a E-mail from Mike and says he wants one just like that knife and so I tell Mike the story. Well Mike said he wanted one so it all worked out. Life is interesting to say the least in the way things happen LOL.

You know Mike, I as telling mistwalker ( the designer of the Warthorn and the One Zero) that I was going to send that 1/4" to him so he could see it and did not get to LOL. I will me making some more so he will get to see on in time :D

Thanks for the kind comments all and chat with you later,

Bryan

Thanks Bryan for posting the pics. I wanted that one from the minute I saw the in work pic.Mistwalker you have an awesome design and Bryans ability to bring it to life is unbelievable. Believe it or not for its size it feels like an extension of my hand and the diffrent ways to grip it are incredable. Your right Bryan funny how somethings just work out.Would love to see the pics of Mistwalkers other designs.........My wallet and wife may choke me though.......LOL

Thanks, Bryan and I think it turned out really well also. I love my warthorn and my 1-0 very much

Bryan has a great way of proportioning and balancing the knife so it it feels great in hand.

Hi all,

Mike you are very welcome for posting up the pics. Yea this design has a feel of comming a live in the hand and just plain feels like and exstention of
my arm. Being able to place my thumb on the top of the slanted guard and doing the different cuts with the different hand grips like what Ray Mears talks about in his book on page 22. It just makes it the perfect knife for me.
Whether cutting up food, or making up a camp chair to sit in while I am at one of my camp spots.

This is the only design that I have made for myself and my survival kits and BOB bags. other than the Final Option knife. So far when I make up another Warthorn or 1-0 for me there is a Final Option knife going into a pouch on the sheath for the knife so I have 2 fixed blades on the same sheath.

Again Glad to hear that you pleased with the way your Warthorn knife feels to ya:D

Thanks again all for the kind comments on Mike's Warthorn knife.

Bryan

Nice blade. It is always a positive feeling when you are awaiting something. Sometimes impatient, but always positive.
