What Brend? I don’t see a Brend…

Nope, still don’t see it…

Oh? Oh? What’s this?

5 and a half inches of CPM440V, double hollow ground with integral skull crusher

cocked, locked, and ready to rock

here’s the secret

another shot of “the system”

note how the antiqued Riggercoated sheath is held in position by Velcro…

also, note that the Velcro is MOULDED into the Kydex sheath…this is a product of incredible quality and design!

Last but not least, a closeup of the knife with the original sheath by Frank Sigman

Seriously, I LOVE this Brend Eliminator/JSP Bladerigger Spinal Backup…it has become my favourite “system” in my collection. It lies COMPLETELY flat against my back (won’t even print under a suit!), I can withdraw in 1 second in either reverse grip or forward grip, and I can easily withdraw with my weak hand. Thanks to Les Robertson for the knife design, Walter Brend for the incredible (and DAMN sharp) knife, and James Piorek for the AWESOME sheath!!!

RL

PS Thanks to cockroachfarm for the great pics!

BTW, those are just shadows across RL's back. This rig does NOT "print"; considering the size and complexity - very impressive!

Sweet dude! James makes great sheaths and harnesses. I'm waiting one one right now. I sent him a Snody to get rigger coated and a sheath made with a shoulder harness. His stuff is very comfortable.

thanks for sharing.

Nice rig, but from what I understand, in Canada it is illegal to wear a knife completely concealed like that. Am I wrong?

I am actually wondering if I am wrong here. If it is legal to carry a knife in this fashion in Canada I would love to know this. It would be great to be able to carry knives like that if I was not going to possibly get into trouble for doing so.

WOW ! Very nice set-up ! !

I'm a sucker for conceal carry and I think that you'd be extremely hard pressed to find a better combo than JSP and Brend. Note: And JSP complete systems (knife and harness) are pretty damn wicked without Brend !

RL. . .you luck bastid ! ;)

Keith. . .I'm not from Canada but I would venture to say that the system that RL is modelin'. . .concealed. . .would definitely land you in the pokie. . .if caught !

Unless of course. . .you have some paperwork stating you're waivered from certain laws/rules.

Or you run real fast ! :D

Ummm Officer, this set-up is for rapid letter opening... nope no SD set-up here!!! I work for the Post Office... put the handcuffs awa-ugh...mmmmfffllfmfmmffllll...lawyer.....mmffffkfkflll

Hey, do you think I want to wait when that winning Publisher's Clearing House letter comes in? I NEED rapid deployement!
Actually, I bought a double-edge because you don't have to sharpen it as often (you just use the other side)...hey, that's my story and I'm sticking to it :D

It's only illegal to carry completely concealed in Canada if the knife in question is a weapon. That definition is in the criminal code, but includes a device that is designed to cause death or serious injury to a human.

There are no length limits, however, so a "utility" blade could be up to any length.

That said, I wouldn't carry a blade like that concealed although I do carry a necker under my shirt.

I just wear my 8" bowie on the *outside* of my clothes, rapid deployment plus it looks purty.
