The seller had overstated the damage to the blade - certainly no attempts have been made to sharpen the swedge - only tiny marks commensurate with use are visible, and then only from certain angles - and you have to look pretty hard. Edge shows signs of imperfect factory grind and some less than perfect sharpening. Easily sorted.
I fully stripped the knife and cleaned the internals - everything looks new inside and went back together with a couple of dabs of molybdenum grease. Beautifully smooth now, and no play on lockup etc.
In fact the biggest decision is weather I should keep this as a cabinet queen or a daily use knife - it is so light, carries beautifully and feels wonderful in hand. Anyhow, one very happy lad. Enjoy the pics and thanks for your help on the decision to buy!
