Small Shadow Trapper.

Fit and finish is almost perfect. No play in any position . Blade is centered when closed and has a really nice as ground finish. The blade is hollow ground with a swedge and came extremely sharp. This knife really walks and talks. Pull is firm without being a nail breaker.
Handles are polished natural linen micarta. All the edges are nicely rounded and it feels great in the hand. Handles tapper front to back.
The back spring has a stain finish and is flush open and in the half stop. It maybe .001 low closed. If you hold the knife up to a light you don't see any gaps in the back spring to liners.

Blade steel ATS34 ground to .010 behind the edge.
Handles Natural Linen Micarta.
Closed length 3 7/16
Blade length 2 5/8
Cutting Edge 2 3/8
Blade thickness .080 at the tang
Blade style , Drop Point
Handle is .400 thick

Shadow Dogleg Jack,

Blade is centered has no play in any position. Snap is firm without being a nail breaker. Fit and finish is almost perfect. Handles are nicely rounded and polished with no sharp edges. Back spring is stain finished and is flush open and closed and maybe .001 low in the half stop. Blade is hollow ground with a swedge. The as ground finish is fantastic. Like the Trapper it came extremely sharp.

The handle design feels great in the hand and pocket. This wouldn't have been a knife I would have ordered. But after getting it I really like it. Now I know why Vince likes Dogleg patterns.

Brett's knives are an incredible bargain both knives were $175.00 each. I have paid much more for a Custom slipjoint and have gotten less for my money.

Brett is a pleasure to deal with and his work will only get better. So guys get on his list while you can. I ordered four more this morning. Larry

Great looking stuff.

Thanks for sharing.

Guy's thanks for the replys. Larry

BTW Both knives carry nicely in a blue jeans watch pocket.

Micarta can be a fantastic handle material and these pix show that:thumbup:

I sometimes think it can be an overlooked material by some which is a pity because although a modern material it is elegant and can work very well on more traditional styles or conventional pocket knives.

I agree. Micarta still has soul unlike other modern stuff.
