This is a great overall neck knife. The craftsmanship is beautiful with sheaths being quality as well. Okay, so here is the story of the knife- from a buyers prospective.
A few months ago I placed a deposit for two knives from Brian. Due to unforseen circumstances Brian was unable to complete the original order. Being no stranger to murphies law myself I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Over the next months, we kept in contact and Brian continued too ensure his customers were fully aware of all hiccups and issues.
Brian offered an alternative that allowed both of us to benefit and I accepted. I am glad I did, the knives recieved were quite nice. The Companion is a small necker knife with a razor sharp, strong piece perfect for my children and self. Made of S35VN steel with Micarta grips and a sweet holster as well as a beautiful presentation box it will make a beautiful present for my daughter.
After testing and wear myself I found it to be a very positive experience leading to this brief review. I would recommend both Brian Evans and the Companion as a knife worth the money for anyone currently on the fence or looking for that special gift for someone special.
