What a roller coaster of a day! After Ecoglo posted pics of his #4 Brian Fellhoelter No One a week or so ago on another forum, I couldn't stand it any longer and had to snag the #3 from Neil at True North Knives. Neil was away for a show and they had to delay shipping a few days, but no big deal. He was gracious enough to send me a killer t shirt for the extra wait. Thanks Neil, class act!
Anyway, I get home today excited and happy because the wife called and said an urgent package from Canada came in the mail today, but then before I even get a chance to open it up, I see an email from the water company telling me that after seven long months of testing and interviewing for a position with the water company that me and more than five thousand other applicants were vying for, I missed the cut by just 6 damn spots!! They are taking twenty and out of 5200 people, I'm #26!!
I know, look on the bright side, I did pretty well, but it was still a depressing moment and I had this beautiful knife from Brian and Neil in my lap that I hadn't even seen yet and now felt like I couldn't even enjoy.(I got over that part)
So, in honor of a beautiful Fellhoelter from a great purveyor up in the great white North I figured what the hell, and opened up a fine bottle original recipe VO Canadian Whiskey from 1962!! Add in the six years of aging and this nectar has been around for more than fifty years!!
Ok, enough yappin'......here are the pics!!
