When Brian put this knife for sale on the forum, I panicked. I had no money for it, so I quickly sold 2 really good knives. Luckily I sold them in time snag this one!

I've only had this knife since Saturday, but I can't put it down!

Here are the specs.

Its a large knife at 9 1/2" overall.
Its is a perfect scandi grind from 4mm of O1 Steel
The cutting edge is exactly 4 1/2"

1st some Glamour shots.

The sheath is beautiful. It holds the knife deep and extremely secure. I can not find a flaw.

Fit and Finish: Just perfection. No gaps or glue marks, and no burnt spots on the micarta.

The tip is extremely sharp and pointy!

The scandi grind is perfectly even and came hair popping sharp!

The micarta scales are a 1/4" thick. Many might prefer some thicer, and when I first read the specs; I felt the same way. But when I got the knife and held it, it filled my hand beautifully. Very comfortable and a very secure grip. That is due to the wide tang. Its a very well thought out design.

Here's a shot with a Farmer to give you an idea of size.

Now for some use.

The first thing I do with a new knife, other than shave hair off my arm; is to make some fuzzies. It gives a good idea of the edge geometry. This knife bit deep, but was easily controllable to make nice thin curls.
Also in the pic, you'll see a nice clean notch I made. I made that after a bunch of batonning.

I had a pretty big piece of maple that needed splitting. The full size of the knife came in handy here. It always felt secure, and I was never worried about hurting it. It didn't split the wood with the ease of my RC-5, but it did very well.

Now to see how tuff that edge is. A lil cross batonning.

And the edge is as pretty as it was when new.

And still cuts with minimal resistance as well.

Another thing I really like in a belt knife; is its ability to strike a firesteel. I wish pics could explain how sharp Mr. Goode made this spine.

Exactly one strike, had this cedar bark burning. But then I forgot where I put the camera, so I did it again...

almost done

After all the use the knife wasn't shaving hair anymore, but it had a great working edge. I am thrilled with this knife, it just may be my favorite so far.

Thanks for looking. Feel free to ask any questions, that I may have not addressed. Thanks for looing fellas!

Very cool  the handle thickness would have worried me, but it looks like it works out well. Great score.

Nice score Tony! That's a great looking knife, and it looks like a good performer, too!

I was itching to get that one myself, really nice score. Man that edge looks razor sharp

I always look forward to your reviews and this one didn't disappoint. What type of wood did you use for these curls?

woah - It out performed my expectations!!! DANG!!!!!!! :) :) :)

Nice review, it is good to see so many of his knives for sale on the makers page right now. His work seems real nice.

Thanks fellas.

JC, thats Basswood. That soft wood really gives you an idea of whats going on when making fuzzies. You can stop in the middle of the curl, look at it and then finish pushing through. I love working with that stuff!

you got a good one there.
O1 excellent steel
i like natural canvas. just seems like it should be on the handle of a knife
nice photos
all good
buzz

Great review Tony. I like the pics, they showcase the knife and its capabilities well. I own a smaller one of his knives and can attest to the edge, fit and finish-very good stuff!
I thought your comment about panicing was hilarious

great review Tony... that is a nice looking blade man.. i like it a lot... Brian's work is top notch... one of these days i'll get one..:o

Wow, nice score! I've never checked out his knives before, but that is a work of art. I'm glad to hear the handles work for you because I would have worried that they were too thin, too.

I'm going to have to take a closer look at his work now.

Thanks for the great review!
