thanks Fitzo.....this was the guitar run thru a Greg Fryer treble booster...then into a VOX AD30VT out to my sound card. I used the delay effect in the amp and created the violin sounds at the end by strumming the chord and rolling the guitar's volume control up.
 
I vary between plugging in straight for blues with a little reverb to fullblown hordes of effects from a TC Electronics processor, an awesome tool.

I thank you for inspiring me to crank up an amp and play a little while. I can't play for more than like 15 minutes because of a hand problem, so I've lost all my chops, but I sure do like overwhelmingly loud distorted guitar, still. :D
