Hey y’all. I recently picked up a Brian Tighe Custom Breaker, and I wanted to see if I could find some more info on it before I move it on (be watching the exchange 😉).

I know this knife is a Custom Breaker, with a titanium handle, and the blade steel is unknown, though very, very likely to be RWL-34. It’s supposedly over 15 years old. I can’t find anything on Google that looks quite like this to help me figure it out.

Can y’all help?

That's probably about right.

Integral Breakers sell for about 1.5-2xs the price of non-Integrals. Just looked myself and I found a range or $415-600 for non-Integrals on ACK.

The OP's is non-Integral. Found 2 identical to the OP's. One sold for $415 in 2019 and another for $495 in 2017. The blade material for each is noted as BG-42.

A current valuation of around $450-500 would be reasonable, based on the prices that Integrals are currently going for on ACK, with the understanding that ask/sell prices on ACK are always going to be higher than here on the Exchange.

FWIW, I paid $350 for a non-Integral Breaker off of the Exchange last year, which I considered a bargain.

I just looked and found that Integral Frame Tighe Breakers, like the OP's, have recently sold on ACK for between $695-2000. The sale price varies based on design/materials.

Based on its appearance, the value of the OP's would be toward the lower end but I'd still be happy buy it for $450. PM me if interested.

LOL! ;)
It isn’t an integral, sadly… 😭

As far as I can tell, this example is worth about $525-$600… but I’m not sure.

Yeah, realized that I mistakenly posted the remarks that you replied to, which is why I deleted and revised it. ;)

I think an ask of $525-600 would be on the high side but, if the OP can get that for it, more power to him.

The older tighe breakers were BG42 that was a commonly used steel by him before he started using RWL 34....
