I just moved from Jupiter, FL to Tega Cay, SC last weekend. This town is very close to Charlotte, NC. I went across the highway to another small town called Fort Mill. I could not believe that right on Main Street there was a place called "The Knife Shop". I went inside and saw display cases of knives like Spydercos and Benchmades. I had not seen some of these knives in person before. There were many other high quality brands there. The owner was very frienly and I am sure I will spending some money there. He even had replacement tweezers and toothpicks for the Swiss Army Knives!

Sounds like you have died and gone to heaven. Now if only one of those would mysterously turn up near my house...

We have two of those awesome B&M shops here and I love going but the prices are outrageous. I understand that they can't sell at a low cost like the internet guys but I don't make that much money andI gotta spend it wisely. I try to buy a knife there if I'm looking for something cheap but can't afford anything other than the occasional CRKT there. you're lucky if you found a good knife shop with good prices

I went back today and checked prices. He had a new Spyderco Endura for $49.99. That is pretty close to the internet knife store price. I mentioned to him that his prices were good and he said he did not want the knives to stay around that long. He also sharpens knives with a type of belt grinder. I dropped off a chisel ground Livesay Celt neck knife that I cannot seem to get real sharp.

Yup! we have a blade store kinda close to where I live, prices are 20.00 to 40.00 higher than they should be but I like to go there and handle them before ordering on the net :D .

Welcome to the Carolinas!
You will also probably want to visit the Carolina Sportsman in Newport (just outside of Rock Hill near the DMV). They have a decent selection of both knives and guns.

Also, in Pineville at the Carolinas Place mall, there is Stacey's Knives which has a good selection too (even if it is in a mall).

Good luck,
Allen.

Laredo,
Welcome to Gods Country! I live right past Ft Mill in Rock Hill. YOu have found one of the friendliest knifeshops I've ever visited, The Knifeshop, run by Bill Richardson. Great place to hang out, and buy/sell/trade/sharpen knives. Bill has a pretty good selection, and will find stuff for you if he doesn't have it. Other great knife places to visit are.....

STACY's KNIVES in the mall in Pineville.

CAROLINA SPORTSMAN in the Newport area of Rock Hill.

Closest to my house is NICHOL's STORE @ exit 73, off interstate 77 in Rock Hill.

Drop me an email if you need any directions.....and welcome to town!
