I have located an old bridge style anvil for 150.00. Thing weighs at least 300 pounds if not more. The edges are somewhat rounded but it does not appear to be abused. Worth that? The only lettering I can see on the side is an "O" and then a "W" for the last letter.

I guess I need to go look at it again and take a closer gander for cracks and test the rebound. Maybe get some pics also.

300 Lbs? Jeez man, if it's in even remotly acceptable shape it's worth a lot more than $150! go for it! :)

Yeah, I have a Peter Wright 126 pounder and I can scoot that thing around with no problem, this bridge anvil I cannot even budge. The guy that has it says it is at least 300 and I believe it.

It's obviously a piece of crap. Tell me where the lowlife who's trying to take your money is and I'll go have a talk with him. ;)

As I've posted before, my 125# Vulcan is chained on a 300-400 flat anvil ( Bridge anvil with removable cast iron legs.). It makes one hell of an anvil stand.Bought it for less than $100. Got it delivered from Baltimore FREE. Deals like that are hard to pass up. It was an ironworker's anvil ,and has the top surrounded with round, rectangular ,and square holes for bending, spiraling, and scrolling.Center is solid for shaping/forging.

Mmmmm, Vulcan anvils... I used a 75Lb vulcan for about a year while I was working in a friends shop. Nicest anvil I've ever used :)
