Was looking through Mickely's website, saw he had hunter orange, yellow, and pink g10 scales. Thought it might be interesting to try something that bright on a simple EDC size or small hunting/caping size knife. I've sold plenty with wood handles, etc, even a few with black micarta, but have never gone BOLD. Anyone have success selling bright colored knives?

I use orange G10 fairly often, and it seems to sell well. I think that yellow would look nice, but I haven't tried it yet.

The first two folders I sold had hunter orange scales, as per the customer's request. If he hadn't have wanted it I probably wouldn't have tried it anytime soon as I tend more toward nature's colors. After trying though, I realy like it.

Orange handle are quite good sellers for me. The hunters and fishermen like the fact that the knife is easy to spot and hard to loose.

+1 on the orange. Hunters like it. Other than that and green canvas micarta, the brightest thing I've used is emerald/yellow swirl Fantasy Marble- that stuff from Jantz. I enjoyed working with it, but don't know how it would sell as that was for a custom order.
