Buck, please bring back the 302 Solitaire! I have this rosewood, much carried and tarnished, and a black one carried even more. Oh how I wish I had bought a yellow one when I had the chance. There were other colors, too. A John Deere green would be nice, or John Deere yellow. I like the yellows. An orange would be really good...hint, hint.

The 302 had perfect spring tension and it is so slim it disappears in the pocket. The blade is the same as the main blade on the 301, so it is long enough to cut a large apple or huge tomato. It is a great knife to have when you are at the steak house and they bring out those things laughingly called knives for you to cut your steak. The 302 zips right through even the largest and toughest steak with aplomb. Yep, great pocket knife.

Agreed. I wouldn’t mind a flat grind as well
A flat ground 302 sould really put the Case sodbuster jr to shame, at at least the SS that is unless they offer it in 5160.

I like my 302 enough to keep it around, but will admit that it's not a size I tend to carry much.

I have always preferred Buck stainless, never understood why Case would leave so much to be desired in the stainless category.

I like the size as well, although the handle seems/feels a bit long. I’m mostly a single blade guy anyway.

I like Bucks SS blades more as well, but I do like carbon steel most and do prefer The 1095 and CV blades from Case more.
I quite like Bucks blades though and if I gotta have SS it's gonna be Buck.
Next to a carbon steel blade a 420hc Buck blade is a close second.

As far as the handle on the 302, I think the length is great, it's good to have a longer handle to blade ratio on a working knife.

The 302 is nice, but I'll throw out the 312 as the one I want brought back.

Nice collection! No you need a red Delrin to complete your collection. I'm drooling over that yellow one!

Thanks Doc! I didn't know they made a red delrin. Doesn't surprise me. Something to keep an eye out for
Yellow ones aren't common, but they show up occasionally. Usually other people want them worse than I do ;)
The charcoal seems fairly rare also.

I've never seen one in the wild, but a couple of the old timers on this Buck forum have them in their collections.
