Ok, so I hope this not to be a faux pas on this sub-forum. Etiquette differing from sub-F to sub-F as it does and all. If so, please inform me and I will beg forgiveness.
But hoping it is all good to make one’s thoughts and desires known in such matters of the heart, I note that I have not seen a Bishop, and I really mean the true, the full, the arch-Bishop as it were, offered on a Fiddleback Friday while I have been haunting your lovely sub-forum (just a year or so now is all). Though, of course, I may have missed one by negligence and over sight (though I hope not).
I generally prefer an axe or good (pref. “GB”) hatchet for heavier chopping/wood processing. Though “choppers” have their merits vis a vis an axe/hatchet, I have been chopping away now with the latter tools low these last 50 or so years. Old habits and hard-earned skill sets die hard.
That said, and as indicated, I have (to my surprise) learned the merits of the “Big Choppa” and like to use such tools in certain situations (light to medium limbing and medium range diameter fire wood prep both come readily to mind). To such ends I have put to good use a Busse Mistress (specifically an REK- and self-modded ASHBM) for a number of years.
Yeah, that got too long. Sorry.
What I want to say is I really think I “need” a full FBF Bishop as well! Sometime in the next year or so?
Well, a man can wish, right?
