Inspired by the recent Conductor thread, I thought why not make one for humpback patterns as well? I feel they often get overlooked. To me they look like a cross between swell centers and doglegs, serpentines or even congresses, but that really depends if they're equal ends or not. Hopefully members with more knowledge can chime in share some interesting facts. How old are these patterns anyway?

So gentlemen, I invite you to post your thoughts and especially photos of your eurekas, half whittlers, norfolks, humpbacks and whatever else there is! As long as it has a hump "in the back" it's welcome here.

My humble contribution is this 1971 Case half whittler (I know Waynorth and some others hate this name since it's just a penknife), which is basically a eureka frame.

Humpbacks are one of the few patterns I could just never get into.... but I feel like a few more pages of this thread and I might end up buying one. You guys have got some beauties!

Great examples, everyone! Nice to see some 3 bladed humps.

Augie, that Delmar eureka jack is breath-taking!
