And the bags for both

Green day pack for fishing in the neighborhood (East River)
Black bag goes in the boat or is the base camp bag for camping trips.

I guess I need to take pics of the surf bags :)

VGSC, have you ever caught anything with that Coors Light abomination, err, lure? :D

No I have not. But they say if you want to catch big fish you need big lures. It was given to me as a present, I laughed when I saw it, but this thing has real good action and is loud, ought to piss off some bass. I try it every time I go fishing because one of these days something bigs going to hit it.:D

One more thing, Its hard to see in the pic, but I have two Coors light bottle caps that I folded in half, put bb's in, drilled a hole in each end, put a treble hook one one end and swivel on the other. (got idea from a fishing magazine)
made one for my brother in law in Minnesota, when he opened the box I had put it in, I could tell he thought WTF. (he uses live bait for one) Anyway he takes me out trolling a local lake and I made sure I brought that bottle cap lure. My first cast...WHAM northern pike..second Wham larger northern..third Wham.. him not a bite. He loves that lure now.:D

I used to fish a lot when I was a kid. I had (still have) tons and tons of crank baits, spinners, jigs, rubber worms and what not. The only thing that ever worked for me was live bait. Shiners, meal worms, night crawlers, anchovy, shrimp etc.
Hows your luck with lures?

I have tackle boxes and lures scattered all over. Lots of old stuff with battle scars.

Artificials 98% of the time.
There are the odd times that I'll dunk eels for stripers
(What's harder than taking and ell off a hook? Putting one on a hook!)
or killies and squid for fluke (summer flounder)...
Or pick up my daughters spinning rod with bobber and hook to mess with the b'gills...
So I won't say 100% of the time.

Damage done from one fish.
I think is was a false albacore, note the hook point...
That was brand new, first cast into the water.

The top plug is a retired bluefish killer.
Looks like the dog played with it :)

While looking for the other photos I found this one of my jig box.

I have been a Rabid fisherman for 50 years, you wouldn't believe a picture of my tackle even if I could find a room to fit it in for a picture.
