I have been interested in the Sherpa Knife since I first saw the pictures. For those not familiar with the Sherpa knife here's a link.

In another thread people were commenting how much they love their 12 AKs; but some of us think the handle is too short for comfort. The Sherpa looks like it would be fine from 12" - 18"+

If enough people express interest maybe we can resurrect these beauties.

I liked the look of the Sherpa knife and the Yeti Hunter.
For those of us that are new to HI, this gives us the chance to pick up a blast from the past.
It also gives the newer kamis a chance to show their style of what their take on the design is.

Super link Heinlein. I really enjoyed the pic's...I too would be interested in the Sherpa's knife if HI decided to bring it back...I would also be interested in this

BHIMSEN MODEL KNIFE http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6946341&postcount=18 (Heinlein's Link)

from the link that Heinlein provided. I love the guards and it reminds of a butterfly sword..so one must have a matching pair...:-)

I hope I can post this pic in this thread...always messing up...lol..:-)

I have never liked the guard on the Bhimsen, other than that I like it.

The Yeti Hunter looks fine; but my eyes aren't good enough to tell much difference between it and a similarly sized CAK

I'm not a big fan of the forge scale villagers; but would love a satin finish villager Sherpa.

The thought of a Sherpa khukuri gets my imagination going. But I want it to be like the one posted in the 2nd page of khukuri styles in the FAQs, with a curved handle. I don't like the short run they did a while back with the straight, ringless handle.

Here's a link to make it easier to find. http://www.himalayan-imports.com/Styles2.htm

Although I do like the curved handles as well what primarily attracts me about the Sherpa Knife is the handle as shown in the link in my first post.

Heinlein,
Your link in the first post was borked in the upgrade.
I think i have it restored. let me know if it's not the right link.

Your unborking appears to be successful.
Cool, Thanks!
These are two models i would also like to see.
Keep it coming, guys! The more interest shown the better the chance these things will get made.

I love the old thick scrolled buttcaps on the Shop 1 khukuris. They were more labor intensive, so disapppeared before my time. I now only have them on 3 older Shop 1 AK's and the UB memorial knives. They really add a lot to the look of the knife, plus give you a bit of extra handle length.
