Welcome in advance! Just don't try bringing it to Basic! After that make sure you take it everywhere though.

What MOS are you going for? Don't let the recruiters sucker you into anything you don't want. They won't tell you, but you can do anything you want. Ranger, Airborne, Computer programmer, Tank Driver... Seriously. They'll tell you it isn't available but that's a crock of crap. If you want it they'll get it for you or Dont Take It!!!

Best wishes,
JB

I think a Hell Razor would be an excellent choice. I hope some of the guys who have one and are using it in the sandbox chime in with some stories and pics one of these days.

One of my mate just ordered one (hopefully should be here tomorow) to take back to the sand box next time he goes. I showed him a pick of one on the weekend and he was like "order me a tan/tan now" so as soon as it gets to me I will get a tan molle sheath made for it then it will be sent straight to him for some very hard use..

Good luck with the army mate. I think the hell razor will be an exelent companion.. Take care..

DON'T TAKE IT TO BASIC & AIT WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! You WILL be forced to turn it in and you WON"T ever see it again!!!!
Trust me on this one. I retired from being a grunt for 21 years. I know of what I speak;)

Just score 65 or higher on your ASVAB and you can pretty much ask for what you want. If your GT score is 110 or higher, even better.

When I was still in, I found so many good hiding places for my knives. I didn't want to check them into the arms room.

Good luck BTW and thanks for stepping up. Get through basic, AIT, jump school and then R.I.P. after you get to the regiment and let the REAL fun begin. Remember to keep you eyes open and your mouth shut and you'll go far;)

Make sure you get it in a contract ASAP. Your recruiter can get you into the "Delayed Entry Program" now, with a Ranger contract locked in. Do not expect to go to MEPS and have them give you what you want. They will do everything short of locking you in a room and telling you you can come out when you sign a "Typerwriter Repair Technician" contract.

You are your Recruiter's Boss. Now where's a picture of that INFI!!!

Don't sign anything until you're absolutely sure you're getting what you want and it's there in black and white, not the old "this is what we can get you now, but we'll be sure to get you the rest later". Yes, where are the INFI pics? :D
