I recently purchased a Bark River Cub and it is an AMAZING blade, I got the burgundy micarta handle but the color looks more brown than anything but under a light the color really comes out. Is there any way to make the color show better? any oils or miracle shines? any input would be greatly appreciated

Use the heck out of it and your natural body oils/sweat will bring out the color in time.
Or you could apply some car wax, Renaissance Wax, floor wax.
If you have the means sanding and or buffing to a high shine will do the trick also.

I have a similar problem. I got a scale made by a new maker that looked great new but has a worn in look now. I applied mineral oil to it which made it look great for a few days, but dryed up afterwards. Is there a top coat or laquer I could put on it to restore it to its full glory forever?

Here are the before and after pics I took....

Funny that you brought up this subject.
I purchased a Bark River bird & trout knife over a year ago with red linen micarta scales.
When I received the knife the scales were bright red just like they appeared on the website.
I've never used the knife and only taken it out of the box to look at a few times.
About a month or so ago when I opened the box to inspect the knife I noticed that the handles had gone from bright red to more of a dark burgundy.
They are still shiny and look new other than the color change.
Has anyone else ever seen this happen?
Knife has always been stored inside at a fairly constant temperature and average humidity.
I still like the knife and think it is still very attractive but the handle color has definitely changed.
