I ran across my very first knife I made when I was 13 or 14 years old. The guard's loose and it's not even a hardened steel. However, I was so into knives and the mountain man rendezvous I figured I needed to make one. I eventually got a hollow handle survival knife that didn't have any better HT than mine, an ultimately I saved up and bought a Buck General which I still have.

I was showing it to my youngest boy and he thought it was a cool piece from my early age. I guess I'll hang onto it for my grandkids as papa's old knife.

Ok I’ll play. This is my first knife given to me by my Nanny (godmother) for my 8th birthday. My Mother hated it but it rode on my hip for a few summers and survived a few episodes with my Dads wheel grinder.
