How many of you guys use this light? I picked one up Thursday afternoon to take camping with me this weekend. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's as bright as some of the lower end Surefires, but a fraction of the price (it's $20, the cheapese SF I've seen is $40). I haven't run the batteries (two lithium, camera batteries) down yet, but I've heard it will run for 70minutes. I'll probably buy a few more for the cars, bedroom, etc. At this price, why not? It also makes a good "gettin' to the deerstand light".

I think the consensus over at candlepowerforums.com is that theBrinkmann Legend LX is a economical alternative to the high-performance SureFires--trading off a bit in terms of durability and ergonomics to achieve a sub-$25 retail. Also, availability of replacement lamps & parts was another trade-off.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it works out for the long run.

Reduced reliability aside, I own one Legend LX dedicated to garage use for 6 months. Its performance in the garage has been stellar, but it doesn't get "knocked around" and dropped as much as it would if dedicated for auto or EDC use.

I almost got one yesterday, but just don't
see any reason, too. My Streamlight Scorpion
works just fine, and there not that much more the the LX.:) But I don't like SureFires iether

I saw the Streamlights too. At the store I was shopping at, they were twice the price of the Legend LXs. Plus, I didn't know anything about them.
