What do all you owners of this light think of it? I know it's not a Surefire nor does it throw like a Surefire but they are considerably less money and the deal I can get on one is very, very good.

It's bright enough for what I'll use it for but I'd like to know what kind of run time you guys are getting on yours? Has it been durable in the time you've had it?

Most lights seems to get overshadowed by the Surefires but how is the LX as it stands? (I'm not looking to compare the two at all)

i've owned both surefires and the lx

the brinkman is 85% of the light at 1/5th the price ... the lx lens is not as focused and the tailcap switch is inferior but for 20 bucks who cares (with batteries mind you)

it is a "best buy" for sure

Good light for the bucks. Very bright and durable. My wife has dropped it several times with no ill affect. I feed it a new set of 123s after about an hour of use. When the batteries go you know it. Go to www.candlepowerforums.com and do a search for "run times on Brinkmann Legend Lx". Roy has a chart to show how long it runs.

I like the light (though not close to a SF in construction, the beam itself is just as good as my E2e), but the bulb on mine only lasted ~5 minutes. Reminds me, got to call for some more bulbs. If I have any more problems, it may get a P60 stuck in there.

I have had very good luck with them and think they are a best buy for the price. I have had three of them and no problems with the bulb burning out. I carried them in all my vehicles for an emergency light for a while, but recendtly replaced them with Surges (for the waterproofing and longer runtime).

Good lights. For $20 you can't go wrong.

New Brinkman ! Me been away for while ! Need new Brinkman !
Where ????......Please !

Tanks,
Mith.

Mith,

The LX has been around for at least a year or so that I know of. It looks very much like a smaller, solid aluminum version of the Brinkman Rebel, but runs on 2 3 volt 123 lithium batteries and uses a big bi-pen xenon bulb to put out a little more light than an E2 but now quite as much as a 6P (at least to my eyes). The beam is focusable to a certain extent, and the tailcap switch is very stiff but is a momentary and click switch.

As for as i know the LX is only sold by Walmart, and seems to sell everywhere for $20.

I have a couple -- LOVE them.

BTW -- WalMart now has the Energizer 2pk of lithium for $7.50.

Not exactly relevant, but I saw a 20pk of AA lithium at Sams Club today for $20.

Cool! Thanks guys. I think I'll pick one up then. Now if only the damn run time was more like the X5...

I have four of them scattered around for cars and when things go bump in the night. (Here in Central America it is usually a cat fight on the roof! )
I have a SF E2E executive elite HA and love it for dropping it in a pocket but the LX is brighter! Yeah it has drawbacks but it is $20!!!
Buy one . . . or four!;)

Just got it today! I like it. Sold my 3D Mag and 3D Legend to get it. It's a beauty for the price. I'm liking the throw!!
