When I first handled this flashlight I was very impressed but then I started a thread here and got some feedback on it and realised that it wasn't as great as I originally thought.

My main concern is that proclaimed 50-60 hour battery life. Does that mean bright for 5 hrs and then 45 hrs of poor light quality?

Anyone have any long term experience with this?

The Brinkmann Rebel LED flashlight seemed like a nice little flashlight. Good light output, well focused beam, easy off & on switch. I kept it on the nightstand beside the bed for night use, mainly for tuning my bedside AM radio at night, etc. Then one night I knocked it off on the carpeted floor, approximately a 30" fall... guess what... the switch-end BROKE OFF completely! Needless to say I am disappointed with the quality! I thought Brinkmann made better quality products than that! I have read this a common problem with this light.

Wow old thread.

I stil have mine somewhere but compared to the rest of whats out there that light is weak at best.
