Found this at www.ima-usa.com pretty cool looks like the old buck survival knife from the 80s doesnt it gonna have to get me one of those for shure .Its a british colonel baldock spear knife
 
Wow, that looks remarkably like the big Buck knife. I can't remember the name of that Buck, what was it?

I might have to get me one of these British knives for historical value. It's pretty cool the design is that old. Here's a link to the knife.

Added: And it looks like the designer of the Buckmaster had a novel interpretation of the function of the spikes- they were originally intended to help secure a spear-pole. Makes a lot more sense than using your knife as a grappling hook!

It was the Buck Model 184 Buckmaster, I remember reading an article when it first came out that said it was based on an old British design...looks like the British Colonel Baldock Spear Knife is the one.
 
Yea i remember the article said they where for securing yourself to somthing underwater right !
