Hey all. Looking to pick up a new general purpose bushcraft knife and having a hard time deciding between the BRK Bushcrafter and the LT wright Bushcrafter. Can anyone that has both share their perspective on pros and cons and perhaps even share a side by side photo..,...thanks as always!

LTW over BRK any day of the week.
LTW makes a quality knife and there is no doubt which steel you get.
I have the Bushcrafter HC and the LTW Outback. Both great working knives which won't let you down.

Small update. I handled the BRK Bushcrafter at a local gunshow and the grip wasn't for me. The micarta was just too slick.

LT Wright all day everyday ... personally I prefer the full flat ... does everything the scandi can and many things better ... plus a bit of added edge stability.

I am a big fan of LT's high saber grind. The FFG is pretty thin, super slicey, less great at carving wood. They do a mean scandi grind if that's more your thing. I'm personally not a scandi guy as I feel like it's too single purpose in that it specializes at woodworking and then is much less pleasant to use for everything else, but it's super for wood. I usually like a small scandi grind for carving, but everything else is FFG or saber-flat. I do have my first convex LT on the way, so that will be really interesting.

On LT's handles, I would make sure to get one of the rougher finished micartas, vs the polished, as you mentions the grip of the BRK being bad. I've had both and there's a noticeable difference between the two. I think they call the rougher finish matte, but can't remember if they give it an actual designation or not.

Polished on top, standard on bottom. The polished reminds me of stabilized wood handles, which I also think are pretty slick feeling. I like the polished look, but hate it when it's wet. The polished is much less porous feeling, if that makes sense. Not quite leather handle but better than slick wood handles.

Forgot to throw in the the high saber grind. The bushcrafter mark II (longer version of bushcrafter) is one of my favorite knives. I think it's tied with a swamp rat ratweiler.

I no longer have the bushbaby as the handle was too short, but I have really liked the spearpoint/Kephart blade designs, even if they aren't as sexy visually as a clip point. LT does a great job with them too, though I think the handles is what sets them apart for me. Just very well done.

It really too bad BRK does not offer a less polished version of the handles like LTW. Outside of the slick handles the design was really nice. I was able to handle the LT bushcrafter HC at the show also. Hope the A2 version has the same balance and feel. I ordered the LT Wright Bushcrafter in blasted natural micarta last night.
