Anyone got a Bark River Quartermaster EDC and want to share their experience? I really looks like a great and classy Edc.

Well it didnt take long for the Bark River bashing to begin lol
Those knives are pretty big and heavy for something to carry every day, but if youre into it Bark River makes great knives that wont let you down. I dont have one, but I had an original Quartermasters knife and it was nice but chunky.
Edit: I was thinking you meant the original model. I didnt know there was a smaller one, it seems cool!

Watching this thread, I can't wait to read more!
I've had my eye on these things for quite a while. Choices are dwindling but there are still quite a few in stock. Hoping they don't go too fast as I probably won't have the cash for a couple months. What draws me to this knife is that it looks like a modern version of an old knife my dad gave me. That knife is gone due to circumstances in life, but I'm looking forward to replacing it with something like the Quartermaster EDC.

I do not have the EDC version of BRK's Quartermaster but I do have the full size version - which, if memory serves, is a collaborative effort between BRK and Vehement Knives. It's a stout, rugged knife and I think they did a pretty good job with it.

I might pick up the EDC at some point to check out at least but I was a bit bummed to see that they used a brass guard on those, rather than a steel one.

Yes, why different materials on guard and butt? More good looking if booth were brass.

I watched these all sell out and couldn't get myself to jump on one. I've even seen a few pop up for sale secondhand, and that got me to thinking about why I never snagged one. The Buck 117. I've picked up two different 117s this year and they fill the role I wanted the Quartermaster EDC for. Very pleased with those purchases. But, dang! The Quartermaster EDC is one fine looking personal fixed blade.

I have both the EDC and the full size. I'm not sure why they chose a different guard material on the EDC, but it doesn't bother me that much. The EDC is a nice size for an everyday fixed blade, and a versatile design, imo.

I've been very happy with both of mine and they have held up well. Then again, I use them as knives and not as bludgeons.

When I replied yesterday, I didn't realize that I was replying to a thread that was almost a year old.

Brother, I've told you this before (*in regard to the full size), it's very rare that a Maker can execute "the same" and "better" at the same time. However, Mike and Matt friggin' NAILED IT. The full size is absolutely a piece of modern "Art", and an amazingly robust and useful tool.

The EDC is absolutely no slouch either. I think they went with the brass guard and nickel pommel, on the little guy, for practical and production purposes. (*Mike admitted that the 304 stainless guard and pommel were a booger to work with on the full size)
