He guys, I just got a BRKT Bravo 1 today in a trade with a member. Heck of a knife. I noticed the blade says 1st Production Run. Does that matter in it's value? I really like this knife but I plan to beat the hell out of it as my primary woods knife. If it's collectable then I'm not sure if I want to go beating it up. maybe I should get another and beat that one silly. Any thoughts. Is the 1st run any more valuable than the rest?

Thanks

From what I've seen it doesn't add to the value of the knife, unless it's sentimental.

Excellent. Then I shall beat the piss out of her. Gonna do some wood work this weekend in the yard. Got lot's of branches and small logs that will be meeting this blade.

Mike Stewart himself makes a point of saying that "1st Production Run" doesn't add anything to his knives.

If you wanted to, you could take any multi-run BRKT knife and ask them to put "1st production run" and they will.
