Morning All,

I'm looking for a boot knife to actually carry in my boot. I'm looking at the blackwater boot knife, blackwater boot knife II and the escort. My ideal knife would have a blade around 4 inches so I'm somewhere between the escort and blackwater II. I'm ok with the smaller blackwater provided the sheath makes sense for boot carry.

Many photos show the blackwater with a carbon fiber-type conceal sheath but the descriptions say "comes with leather sheath". The blackwater II comes with a sharpshooter sheath and the escort is leather but I can't tell if it is actually made to clip to a boot.

Can anyone confirm:
1. does the blackwater boot knife come standard with a boot sheath or a leather belt sheath
2. does the blackwater II have a boot carry sheath option
3. is the escort sheath made for boot carry

Also interested in any other ideas you guys might have for a high-end, single-edged boot knife around 3-4.5 inches.

Thanks.

Found this Video on YouTube. It gave a view of the sheath and it looked like a standard belt clip. For boot carry it looks like it would ride a bit too high for my taste. I'm in the same boat as you, looking for a good boot knife to actually carry in a boot.

Funny, I just mentioned my boot knife in another post. It is a Benchmade Harley Davidson Night Shift. 440c, single edge with the blade profile of a dagger. Blade is around 3.5" long.

Really, what you need is the correct sheath. Any of these knives will do, so just pick what you like and then get some leather made for it. Or make it yourself. I slapped together a great boot sheath from... you guessed it... old boot leather. It's not pretty, but it works great.

Knifeforums has a BRKT forum, they buy and sell them as well. I have an account over there, it was free.

I like the Aurora as a CCW fixed blade.

I usually wear it on a MercHarness under the arm as a upside down shoulder rig [ kydex ].

But as a boot blade ,HELL YEA.

Also have a Wet Enviro Recon from BRK&T that is also worn the same ways.
