so the title says it all; i'm looking for a new fixed blade edc!

I've never been much of a fixed blade guy but after using my gerber for the past little while, i've grown fond of fixed blades.

i'm looking for something that can not only perform edc tasks but also a lot of camping tasks like light batoning, wittling, etc

price isa factor, but so is quality

Now the question is, out of the two options listed; BRKT bravo necker 3v & BJ 155 necker, which do you prefer and why?

thanks guys!

They are both made by BRKT so there is no quality advantage to either. The BJ 155 and the Bravo Necker in 12C27 are priced about the same but the Necker in 3V runs about $20 more. I like them both but here are some of my observations of some of the differences.

The BJ 155 having the swedge and clip point has a better tip for carving and detail tasks and has a stainless steel. The handle is decent and has an Izula'esque hole at the end allowing one to use it as a finger hold and/or for lanyard attachment.

The Bravo Necker is a better skinner and slicer of the two due to the full convex grind and more belly blade profile. The 3V is not stainless but is relatively corrosion resistant and although has close to the same wear resistance is a much tougher steel than 154CM. The handle is also decent and has a lanyard hole. There are more production sheath options available for the Bravo Necker than the BJ 155.

If cost is a big factor you may want to consider the Izula II which is priced lower than both and is a very capable small knife as well.

Here is a size comparison photo including he Izula & Izula II for reference.
