Dear Sirs :D

I came across this Barkie "in Loveless style", as they say - did anyone hold it in his hand?
I'd like to know what you think about it, what's its grind (convex, flat or hollow?) and how's the HT of 154CM in BRKT?

Can't speak to that particular knife, but all Bark river knives are convex grind.

Mike stewart doesn't disclose details about his heat treat process, but in my experience you have nothing to worry about with Bark River heat treat. It will be optimized to get the best out of the steel.

It's convex. I don't know about BRKT's 154cm. But I do have faith that anything they make is fantastic.

I have used a brkt gameskeeper as my hunting knife for the past three season. field dresses several deer and hogs with no issues. Strops up hair popping sharp on my leather belt every time. Highly recommend their stuff

I have one, and I think it's probably the most ergonomic and comfortable handle on any knife I've ever had. Great sheath with it too. Classic looks and hair popping sharp!

Thank you guys! I know BRKT make perfect knives and use A2 mostly, so with this model I was confused by the "Loveless style" and the steel. Didn't mean it would be a bad knife, just a bit unususal compared to the other BRKT products.

The 154CM choice kinda goes hand in hand with the Loveless style. If I'm not mistaken Mr. Loveless is the one that popularized / introduced the 154CM steel to the knife world.

Not ALL barkies are convex. They have done a few hollow grinds but something like 5 from what i have counted. So 99.9 % are convex :p

Bark River's DPH is Mike Stewart's full convex version of a Loveless design that was mass produced by Shrade.

It's a radical handle design that works very well in the human hand.

Bark River's version (built with Bob Loveless' blessing) is very close to the original design.

Bark River's 154-CM is a very fine knife steel, and as others have stated, has often been used in Bob's own knives.

The Bark River DPH is a Loveless design that real users can take a field.

Big Mike
