BRL's Thrillbilly BK16 sheath, plus pics of his forehead-carry system

I liked the look of TB's sheaths and wanted something that would allow my BK16 to ride high on my hip (one dangler is enough for me ), so I threw dollar bills at him until he sent the sheath. Good setup for molle locks or Tek-Loks, real strong retention, no rattle... I like it. Looking forward to taking it out into the boons and using it.

As an added bonus, TB threw in a dope paracord lanyard. I have hip-carried knives, boot-carried knives, pack-carried knives, and neck-carried knives, but this was the first time I had ever tried out a face-carry system.

It's going to take some getting used to, but I already like the versatility of options that it presents. Here's a rear-carry setup for extra tactical responsiveness.

Actually the truth is that TB was being a bro and sent me his neck lanyard, probably because I was bitching at one point about how all neck-carry options so far kinda suck, and because of my hugeass gigantic melon full of brains the damn thing doesn't even come down over my eyebrows.

I actually like the idea of the side head carry. Maybe have a dual head lanyard and carry my bk11 on the other side. Very creative right there

It's actually annoying because I cannot for the life of me buy a hat that fits comfortably. I always end up putting a little cut into the stitches to loosen the rim up a bit just so I don't get pounding headaches. I'm a big boonie wearer, and those I have to soak and stretch out on a basketball just so I can wear the damn things. If that greywolf guy ever answers my email and I can get a few custom boonies out of him that actually fit, I'm going to be the happiest dude in the world.

TB, I'd actually kinda like to keep this lanyard! I'll add some paracord at the ends and then it'll be just fine. I wanna do a gutted-paracord/leather-lace-inside setup anyway so that if it gets snagged the lace will break rather than choke me out, and a longass piece of 550 would probably be impossible to thread... a shorter piece will be just the ticket.

HAHA thats awesome. I thought I had a big head. Thrillbilly is a very generous and talented guy, we are lucky to have him here.

I have a friend/fishing buddy that's 6'6 and has the smallest head you ever saw on an adult. We went fishing one sunny day and forgot his hat for his bald head. We were planning to stop by Bass Pro so he decided to just buy a hat there rather than waste time going back home. There was only one hat in the whole dang store that fit him....It said daddy's little fisherman...He wore it all day.
