I think this has been done a couple times before, but, seeing I got all my ducks in a row, thought it couldn't hurt for a 3rd time.

Enjoy.

My favorite brand of axe porn for a Friday night - broadaxes! :D

I really love the Canadian pattern in your first image. I got a thing for Canadians.

Here's what I got - not nearly such a broad selection. :groan:

Left to right - Kelly Charleston Canadian pattern, masting axe, Stubia of Austria broad hatchet, True Temper broad hatchet in it's sheath, True Temper CMStP&P broad hatchet which Operator donated to my collection of Chicago Milwaukee railroad tools, and lastly my working broad axe - a no-name Canadian pattern.

My intention for that Kelly Charleston is to set it up with a removable wedge system so that I can quickly swap handles to change it from a lefty to a righty.

Only broad axe, no pictures of it. I made the offset handle by cutting it out of green maple and leaving it leaning against a wall. that stuff rather likes to warp a bit. It's double beveled, which I liked; lets me go with the flow of the hewn plane a little more.

Holy back aches!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's huge!

Laminated bit. Is it an insert? Doesn't look like an overlay.

Great collection of bearded axes and no modern Bulgarian replica axes. ;)

What can I say, I love broads with huge bits. This is the largest I've seen in this pattern, 10.5 pounds. Yes insert.
Lol, the "Bull-garian" is still at it I saw some of his junk up last night.

Or the cast iron Keen kutters. Sorry Memphis.

My only broad so far, no idea what it is or where its from, I'm new to this. If you know please post it up. It looks like 5 miles of bad road but that's OK, it was in the bush last weekend and it is going back this weekend. It had a wicked right hand bevel on it... I'm thinking it was meant to perform some specific task for a tradesman?
